Objective:
In 2025 December the garage door extension spring snapped. It has been reported that extension springs can fail after about 20 years of usage. The new extension springs no longer have hooks like the old ones but rings. This required additional hardware to repair.

Operation :
2026-01-03: The new springs were installed. The wheels on the door were greased. The old spring measured 1.17" OD; 0.91" ID; 25" LG.
