Objective:
To document the light bulb technolgy required to run a house.
There are various vendors that manufacture light bulbs, the key is the you purchase from vendor that does the UL,Intertek, etc. Most bulbs in my house are from China, but I only trust bulbs that are sourced with certificates.

The iconic company "Philips" one of the biggest electronic companies of yesteryear no long makes light bulbs that has been transferred to Signify N.V. since 2018. However, to make matters more confusing Signify will still sell buls under the philips brand?
Osram Sylvania
Headquarters: Wilmington, Massachusetts
The iconic company has spun off its general lighting business to Ledvance which has license to sell lighting products under Osram and Sylvania names.
The BR refers to the bulged reflector. 1 BR is 1/8 of an inch, BR40 bulbs have a diameter of 5". Following spec refers to Philips LED.

The A series refers to the "classic" glass light bulb. The number that follows the the "A" indicates the nominal major diameter. The number can be meteric or USC for example A60 (60 mm) and A19 (19/8) refers to the same bulb size. Following spec refers to Sulvania A19 LED.
A15 are ofthen used in appliances. Following spec refers to Sulvania A19 LED.
B series are candle shapedB10. Following spec refers to Sulvania A19 LED.
