Date 2023-01-08: I did a test, ground 1/2 cup of rice. Trial 1 has the backing plate screwed tight. Trial 2 has the backing plate with screws slightly loose. Trial #2 did produce a courser grind but it does not appear to have any adjustment for this purpose
