Objective:

This is a higher end point and shoot camera. I purchased because my Powershot S120 point and shoot began wearing out (i.e. photo quality significantly deteriorated). I called into tech support, and they offered the G7X or G9X as best cameras. I would have preferred G9X for the form factor but it was not in stock.

I decided to purchase the G7X Mk II because it was only one in stock and I went with a refurbished model to save $130 (i.e. about a 20% reduction).
