Objective:

2016-02-14 a Chicago Cuterly 3.25" knife was purchased from Target. The knife had 6J15AL stamped at the base of blade. I believe this is a manufacture batch or lot number. The knife was then heavily used in a residential home. The knife was hand washed and kept sharp. However, a little over a year later the blade fractured at the handle.

The manufacturer claims a Full Life Time Warranty on the product so the company was contacted. A new blade was sent in the mail promptly at no charge. The replacement blade had the lot number 6C16AK stamped at the base. This blade has been in use for almost 1 year without incident.

In terms of product appeal the knife works well but does not hold an edge as well as a Henckel. The soft grip handle is appealing and the handy blade cover, is well handy. I like the knife and use it nearly every day. I still like the product but am waiting to see how the replacement blade holds up over time.
